    Re: all star game

    Did you read the comment?

"I asked Papelbon this question: "If you were managing the team, and the game got to the ninth and you were up a run and both of you guys were available, who would pitch?"

"If I was managing the team," Papelbon said, "I would close."

Good stuff. Unlike every other closer on the AL team, Papelbon refused to anoint Rivera the obvious choice to pitch the ninth inning tomorrow night at the All-Star Game in Yankee Stadium. He said the choice wasn't so obvious.

"I think we've both earned that right," Papelbon said. "Us by winning the World Series and having the opportunity to have our manager here making those decisions, and him because of who he is and what he's done and having this game in Yankee Stadium and blah, blah, blah."

Is that really that bad? I would say the same thing because I would want the ball too.

Its too bad Linceolm has the flu. He may be the best pitcher in the game right now.

Are you really that dumb, or do you just enjoy making yourself look that way?

    Re: all star game

Then your aren't much of a competitor at anything then. You've gotta have that fire, determination and confidence to want it over anyone. Im not a Sox fan, but I admire that. I wouldn't want someone on my team that wouldn't say that. He didn't disrespect Rivera.
